How Bet Abroad Handles Your Data
Does a betting guide watch you read it, and if so, what does it keep?
You need no account to read Bet Abroad, and its pages set no cookies.
This privacy policy is short: the web server keeps an access log, and Cloudflare handles your request before it reaches the server. The margin calculator runs in your browser, and what you type in it is not sent to the site. Operator links pass through a redirect page here; after that, the operator's own privacy policy applies. What happens when you open a page
Because the site sits behind Cloudflare, your browser's request for a page reaches Cloudflare first, which passes it to the web server behind it, and once the server has sent the page back to you through Cloudflare, it writes one line in its access log to record the request it has just answered.
Cloudflare sees your IP address and your request. What it does with them is covered by its own privacy policy.
Each log line holds the time of the request, the address requested (with any parameters in it), the response code, the page you came from if your browser sent it, and your browser's user agent. The network address in that log is normally Cloudflare's. The server rotates these logs every day and keeps about two weeks of them.

What this site does not do
We think a guide site has no business asking for an account, since nobody needs to log in to read how a margin works.
- No accounts, no login, no comment section and no newsletter.
- No contact form, and no other form apart from the margin calculator.
- No analytics script in the pages, and no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. The scripts and fonts come from this same domain.
- Out of the site's reach: Cloudflare, the service in front of it, may add technical cookies or scripts of its own (for example a script that hides email addresses from scrapers).
What happens when you click through to an operator
Links to operators go through a redirect page on this site, at an address that starts with /ext/. The address carries a short label with the page the link sat on, and that label appears in the server log. The redirect page sets no cookie and stores nothing. Once you are on the operator's site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply. An operator you register with will ask for personal data of its own: usually your name, date of birth, address, payment details and often identity documents. Reading here involves no ID. What an operator asks for is between you and the operator.
We would read an operator's privacy policy before uploading an ID, because once the scan is sent, what happens to it depends on the operator's policy. Afterwards is too late. Check that betting is legal where you live before you follow any link. The terms of use cover what else to weigh.
How to ask about your data
Beyond server logs, the only personal data the site can hold about you is the email correspondence you started. You can ask what the site holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used, by writing to contact@bet-abroad.com; the contact page has the same address.
If you write to that address, the site receives your email address and whatever you put in the message, and uses them to answer you. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
